Pneumatic Assistance for String Placement

The Spi-Vac Pik 6600 is a vacuum pick-and-place machine that provides gentle and accurate alignment of strings to other module materials (glass and EVA) for uniform module quality and improved production throughput. The

Spi-Vac Pik 6600 transfers interconnected solar cells (strings) from trays to a string alignment table. Each string is aligned to pre-set guides, picked up, transported, and placed accurately on the module materials.

The Spi-Vac Pik 6600 is robust in design and built to maintain accuracy for trouble free operation. It offers easy push button pneumatic operation and positive string positioning. The vacuum cups and alignment guides are adjustable to accommodate different cell sizes and string lengths.

A single operator can easily layup modules as large as 200 cm x 200 cm. String position adjustments for different module designs are made by simply replacing two cam tracks that are precisely machined to ensure string position accuracy and repeatability.
