How the Coating Works

Unlike conventional coating techniques, the End-Point™ covalent bonding method optimizes the orientation of antithrombin binding sites to allow maximum blood interaction and sustain anticoagulant performance resulting in reduced thrombus and fibrin sheath accumulation*.

Antithrombin binds to the many exposed heparin AT binding sites on the End-Point™ Bonded surface coating, inactivates thrombin and then releases, re-exposing these active sites for sustained anticoagulant activity.
