Ion Implant Technician
Position Summary: Operate and maintain ion implantation processing equipment. Work in clean room environment handling and setting up medical devices for processing.
Detailed Job Description:
- Identify equipment major components, equipment hazards and areas and
- cleanroom procedures
- Follow product handling practices and procedures
- Rebuild Ion Source
- Operate Vacuum Valve Controllers; Nitrogen and Argon ion beam
- Generate scanned Ion beam per specification
- Operate helium leak detector – Identify and locate external vacuum leaks utilizing helium leak detector
- Perform source housing cleaning procedure; standard production chamber configurations per product specifications; regeneration procedure of cryogenic pumps; perform oil change on all mechanical roughing pumps(non-toxic only); perform calibration of high voltage system, vacuum system and current integrator system; perform standard process documentation and standard equipment logbook practices
- Remove and replace all mechanical assemblies, source housing and beam line components; planetary drive and rotary drive systems; de-ionized and process water filter assemblies; and faraday flag assembly; cryopump array assemblies coldhead decontamination procedure; replace all scan plate assemblies
- Provide technical training to lesser trained technicians
Job Qualifications:
- Experience working in cleanroom environment and stand in a stationary position for long periods with ability to bend or kneel as needed
- Candidate must be able to lift 35lbs unassisted from waste to chest high and must have full use and articulation of all fingers and have full range of motion of arms and shoulders
- Candidate cannot have color vision impairment with 20/20 or correctable vision and hearing within normal range
- Candidates with be expected to wear proper clean room attire and latex gloves
- Strong electro-mechanical or electronics training highly desired
- Must be capable of climbing steps ladders
- Must have good command of English language
- High school diploma or equivalent
