PV Equipment Sales Manager
Position Summary: The PV Sales equipment manager will be responsible for sales for Spire Solar in North and South America. Work directly with engineering, operations, service, and project management to ensure achievement of sales goals in segments and regions as assigned. This position will include account strategy and direct sales and will include direct customer contact and key account management
Job Description:
- Focus selling efforts on large PV customers in North America, as well as emerging PV technology companies with high growth potential
- Create list of large targeted accounts and develop sales plan for regular contact. Develop new contacts within these organizations to ensure sales penetration goals
- Act as the primary sales resource for all accounts in territory
- Take ownership of assigned product segment in PV equipment and drive a comprehensive approach to the market
- Create product positioning and differentiators in the marketplace
- Develop quotes, proposals and contracts leading cross-functional teams
- Drive contract/PO negotiations to closure at targeted profit margin
- Develop and update product data sheets and presentation materials
- Work with engineering, sales and applications to learn product features, and develop and maintain presentations to communicate features and benefits to customers
- Make recommendations to improve and define new products as needed to address market conditions and target customers
- Become in-house expert on key assigned products
- Attend key trade shows as needed to in support of company overall sales goals
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical (or equivalent experience) MBA a plus
- 5 years experience selling technical products
- Strong analytical ability, organizational skills and demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and SalesForce DB software
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically
- Must have valid US passport and drivers license
