Electrical Engineer (Temporary Assignment)
Position Summary:
Develop and sustain electronic products for solar module capital equipment
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team developing and supporting advanced fully automated manufacturing and test equipment for solar modules with emphasis on power electronics, small signal control, motion control and user interfaces
Job Description:
- Development of power control and high accuracy measurement for flash lamp and LED systems
- Product development skills including internal and external resource selection and scheduling
- Risk analysis and improvement identification
- CE and UL design compliance with grounding and signal quality management
- Multi-source design concepts and sourcing identification
- Develop low cost manufacturing solution for global manufacturing utilizing modular assemblies, wiring harnesses and testability at the module level
- Implement root cause analysis and corrective action plans for new and existing products using customer focused data driven processes
- Complete design creation and documentation using OrCAD schematic capture tools
- Work with outside resources for PCB design and layout
Job Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years experience with power controls and measurement systems
- Demonstrated success with process control and improvement in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
- Must have, or be able to acquire a valid passport and international visas
- Demonstrated proficiency with scopes and test equipment
- Proficient with MS Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Programming experience with LabView, SPICE, MATLAB and other analytical tools a plus
- Must be willing to do some travelling (10 to 20 % domestic and international)
